The Commissioners of Public Works would like to announce introductory guided tours of Arbour Hill Cemetery following recent refurbishment.
Arbour Hill is the last resting place of 14 of the executed leaders of the insurrection of 1916, including Patrick Pearse, James Connolly and Thomas Clarke. The cemetery also consists of an area containing the remains of British military personnel serving in Dublin who died in the 19th and early 20th century.
The tours will take place on the following dates:
Sunday 11th May
Sunday 18th May
Sunday 25th May
Tours will commence at 11.00 am from the main gate and will continue on the hour throughout the day. Last tour at 3.00 pm. Tours last approximately 30 - 40 minutes.
No prior booking is necessary.
