      National Biodiversity Week

      To celebrate and explore the abundance of natures variety in the Phoenix Park, Phoenix Park Visitor Centre are holding two special talks with guest speakers in our AV room Sunday 18th May as part of the first National Biodiversity Week events.

      3pm: Professor Tom Hayden - illustrated talk on Phoenix Park mammals.

      4pm: Ms Olivia Crowe, Conservation Officer, BirdWatch Ireland - illustrated talk on birds of the Phoenix Park.

      Meet at the Phoenix Park Visitor Centre.
      Admission Free.  All are welcome.

      Bloom 08 - the largest and most spectacular gardening event in Ireland takes place in the Phoenix Park, Dublin from Thursday 29th May - Monday, 2nd June.  The event runs from 10am - 6pm daily with extended operating hours on the opening day. Preparations for Bloom 08 are well under way including exciting new additions and developments.

      Come and see a Medieval Man-at-Arms guarding Ashtown Castle and a Cook in medieval costume demonstrating cooking wares in medieval times.
