National Biodiversity Week

National Biodiversity Week will be celebrated in style in County Laois with events for all the family. Events during the week have been organised in conjunction with the Government's "Notice Nature" project, a campaign to raise awareness of biodiversity and its importance in all our lives. Events will be organised nationwide and further details are available at www.noticenature.ie
Biodiversity week will see the launch of this year's Discovering Laois Wildlife series of practical walks, talks and workshops aimed at helping the general public to get out there and explore the wildlife and biodiversity of their own area.
The Office of Public Works are pleased to host two events at Emo Court as part of Biodiversity week
1. Dusk Bat Watch - 22nd May 2008 - Emo Court - The car park - 8.45pm
2. Dawn Bat Watch - 23rd May 2008 - Emo Court - The car park - 4.30am
