Ranger Led Walk - Dooish Walk

Grade: Strenuous
A five and a half hour walk to the highest summit in the park. Good views of the North and West Donegal coast and good prospects of seeing Red Deer. The walk ends with a newly restored pitched path near to the main waterfall in the park and a road track to the castle.

- In bad weather walk may be cancelled or an alternative lowland route done;
- Warm clothing, packed lunch, rain gear and walking boots essential;
- Mobile phones, walking poles and binoculars may be useful;
- All routes, apart from main glen walk, have sections of rough upland blanket bog wich follow uneven and sometimes slippery terrain (depending on weather);
- All walks depart from the Visitor Centre at 11am;
- Any relevant medical conditions must be advised to Rangers before walk commences;
- Walkers take part in walks at their own risk and Rangers and/or Glenveagh National Park have no responsibility with regard to claims and/or accidents.
