Clonmel Historical and Archaeological Sociery present a Seminar on Suir Island at the Main Guard, Clonmel as part of their lecture series. The seminar will include an exhibition by Shay Hurley, entitled Iarsmai/Remnants. Speakers will include Michael Ahern who will deliver a talk on "The Quakers of Suir Island" and John Moylan who will talk on "Vision for Suir Island".
Other speakers will touch on various aspects of Suir Island, its development through the ages, the ecology of Suir Island and its industrial archaeology. The seminar will conclude with a walk on the island.
